"We own a purebred cattle operation in Nebraska and to help promote them, we show cattle at many of the major shows across the country. During the winter months, ringworm is a constant problem. We have used everything from A to Z that is on the market or that we could think of to treat this problem. Nothing really seemed to work very well, so we usually let it take its course and finally it heals itself, until we found the Royal Ointment. We treat the infected area for 3 to 4 days in an row and then in a week to 10 days the hair is already growing back in the infected area. 	"We started using Thermocal in the fall of 1999 on a few pens of cattle that were almost ready for market. We noticed immediately a more aggressive feed intake and much more consistent manure stools in the cattle with less grain passing through the cattle. We pay close attention to how our cattle grade, and we also noticed the cattl e on Thermocal graded better than those that were not on it. We started out feeding the Thermocal free choice, and were impressed with how the cattle ate it when they needed it. 	"In the fall of 1999 I started feeding Thermocal to our beef cattle, which were weighing approx. 1000 lbs. They were on self-feeders getting whole shelled corn plus a beef cattle supplement. I fed Thermocal free choice in a bunk near the feeders. The cattle were consuming about 1/4 lbs. of Thermocal free choice per head per day. The feed consumption increased considerably in just a few days and is much more consistent than it has ever been. I had been having problems with the cattle eating tremendous amounts of dirt under my fences and this stopped almost immediately after being on Thermocal. I now have my entire feedlot of approx. 500 head on Thermocal. I have been force-feeding Thermocal to most of the cattle at the rate of 2 to 4 oz. per head per day depending on the weight of the cattle. I would highly recommend the use of Thermocal in any feed ration. I don't feel there is a product on the market that gives the feedlot the dollar return that Thermocal does and I would highly recommend using it."

	"We have used Thermocal in our feedlot rations since the fall of 1999. We first fed it free choice on a pen of fat cattle that were about 30 days from slaughter, weighing 1,000 lbs. on full feed. They were consuming about 3 ozs. per head per day of Thermocal. We then put that amount that they were consuming into out total mixed ration. After just a few days on Thermocal our feed consumption increased an impressive 4 lbs. per head per day. We noticed a more aggressive appetite at the bunk, a more even feed intake, plus more consistent manure and less grain passing through. 	"We started using Thermocal July 19, 1999. We started with our late lactation and pre-fresh herds. Our late lactation cows had a lot of variance in the manure and we saw very little cud chewing. After 90 days on Thermocal we now see much more cud chewing and the manure is consistent. The cows are freshening with fewer problems and taking off better with improved dry matter intake. I feel they are showing stronger heats and improved conception rate. We are also not seeing as many new foot problems. I feel the higher available calcium and buffering time of Thermocal have showed enough improvements to put the whole herd on."

	"I started using Thermocal in October of 1999. I put 230 head of crossbred beef on it offering it to them free choice in a couple of different places in the bunk line. They were weighing about 900 lbs. and had been on feed for three weeks. The consumption on Thermocal was running about 1/8 of a lb. per head per day. After two weeks, I put that amount in my feed ration and force-fed it to the cattle while still offering it free choice. The consumption of the Thermocal stayed pretty much the same until they were on almost a whole grain diet, it then ran closer to a 1/4 lbs. intake. Records were kept on the feed intake and tracked by Farmland. One thing that was noticed was that the cattle's consumption was even throughout the whole feeding period. The intake over the last 30 days was as consistent as the whole feeding period. The cattle were much more aggressive at the bunk and went into ration changes much smoother. This has worked great in my operation and would recommend Thermocal to all beef producers."
